Snow

Whiter than white
frozen water crystals surround the air
snow packed mountains
building up quickly, for my eyes to see

A snowflake begins to form
a cold water droplet freezes
onto a pollen dust particle
in the sky, it swivels then falls down

Snow, composed of frozen water
one oxygen molecule, two hydrogen molecules
it never changes nor transfigures
gently filling the world with light- landscape,

This beautiful blizzard has me in a spell,
with its lovely woodsy earthy scent, of Aspen.

A wonderful poem that delights the senses with the magic that only the winter season can bring... I, too, find the snow so enchanting :)

Strange we had a ten-minute storm of ice which damaged my few plants. Why can't we have snow in Malta? A lovely poem so well described. Hugs.
