Small Things Matter
I'll let you step on my tail
Cause I get it was a miss-step
But I won't let you get close to my head
Here I'll pause back and strike out to bite
I guess that's where I went wrong,
Tolerating the small undoings
Saying they'll get better, they'll grow up
Only to find myself dealing with past issues now
For every small mistake counts for a strike
And by the third strike you should get a time out
And if you still standing,
You need to be given a big blow to make you fall
Cause it starts as innocent as stepping on my tail
Then it gets to a point you want to boss me around
For I'm a gentle soul, I'll let it go
Little you forget is I've got a dark soul
I've got a soul forged in hell
The darkest parts that no one leaves to tell
That's why I'm always silent keeping to myself
But as you keep coming my way I'll go off
Cause just like a time bomb
I've got a time stamp
From which I'll blow in your face
With facts that will leave you distraught
