SMALL LANTERNS

the heart keeps maps no compass can measure, quiet introspection drawn from joy and ache. we walk by glimmers gathered from our losses, small lanterns lit by everything we’ve lived. even the shadows soften when we listen~ they, too, are teachers in the long, luminous dark.
