Slow Sink

      I take your weight
so that we may fall to the depths
           unscathed as lungs fail
   I'll hold you close
the rocks will not harm your flesh
 hush you to sleep
          forever in my arms
     until forever floats away

Wow thank you Ink! It's such a short poem and written when I couldn't sleep one night. Both you and I love sirenesque art and poetry I know 😊 thank you for the huge complimentary statements on my words 🥰 and the fave 😊

I can think of ten million worse ways to go Laurentine, this is so loving so peaceful so beautiful, (until forever floats away) what choice does a guy have, he’s gotta take the plunge! A powerful Ekphrasis, I’m hooked 🪝cheers David

These are the poems that occur on sleepless nights 😊 despite being past the point of no return, I always get the impression they'd agree all over again when presented with the choice 🥰 thank you for the deep praise 🧜🏻

Having a protective nature for those we love means risking our lives to keep them from harm… no matter the depths of despair we may face. Excellent lines, LG.

Thank you Lin, it's lovely to see you. There's no telling how events played out, but there's certainly tenderness now. Thank you for reading me
