Slow Down
Faster and faster the world goes by...
Have you ever stopped to wonder why?
Everything is faster...
Faster cars...faster boats...
maybe this is just a twisted joke.
I looked in the mirror and what did I see...
sagging skin where none use to be.
I need to slow down...
but where do I start?
Maybe I could put my plan on a chart.
It will include steps to slow myself down...
cause I'm tired of my smile turning into a frown.
I got in my car and drove to the beach...there stood in the sand...
the water just out of my reach.
I smelled the fresh air...then slowly closed my eyes...
boy was I in for one big surprise!
My muscles slowly relaxed...my eyes opened up wide...
my breath became deeper...as I laughed till I cried.
Something just as simple as going outside...can make a big difference...
so give it a try!
