Sloth

Sloth

Languid apathy - idle gifts
Hollow perfume of impotence
Hoards overstuffed bags of blessings
Walks by fallen stars - indolence

Many thanks and much gratitude Andrea! I mentioned to Michelle that I missed one of the contest requirements so that a long poem on sloth turned into a rhyming quatrain! Whew! Glad you liked it! Fun challenge to get the intricate and complicated concept of sloth into four, rhyming lines! Take care. Enjoy your summer sunshine! Blessings!

Love your word choices here, Sam, especially 'hollow perfume of impotence' - so descriptive! Best wishes for the contest~

Thank you so much Michelle! I didn't read all the of the contest requirements and wrote a long poem on sloth. Had to quickly condense and pull out my favorite lines! I'm so glad they make sense and that you liked the result! Very grateful my friend for your visit and your best wishes! It was an interesting topic! Blessings of summer sunshine to you from one northwesterner to another!
