Slip of the Tongue
“Slip of the tongue…” indeed asserts the mouth
midst heart’s justifying grievous whisper
while soul, caught between deception conflicts
clamors for freedom against guilt-caused angst
vanquishing fraud and falsehood for peace gain.
Lips now can’t be sealed to let justice slip…
thus, faith testifies upon witness stand
to uphold equity’s sense and bearing
praying that fairness won’t slip midst judgment
since the spirit believes, truth* still prevails.
*John 8:32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.
