Slight Plight

to avoid bad stares
we told everyone
she was my
daughter
not too
odd

when we went 
to our hotel room
with two twin beds
we had to climb four

Thanks so much Maureen. You know most of my poems are true, and this one is no exception. We were on the 4th floor. Old colonial buildings don't have elevators. And, yes, we lowered the tension level by saying that Melissa was my daughter. Lol.
