Sleepwalking
Mankind is suffering from sleep paralysis
Deep within the mind,
Living through a dream state
To reality they are blind,
Still but somehow moving
Like puppets on a string,
They need someone to rouse them
To let them know what’s happening.
But most are content with this dream state
No responsibilities for them
It’s always someone else’s fault,
When the nightmares start
And the dreams end.
People snore their way to oblivion,
Unconscious of the fact
Like in a sleep paralysis,
They are to afraid to act.
Held in place by something
Invisible to them
A state of passive obedience,
Stops them from understanding
That you can’t live your life through others
You must live it through yourself,
Be accountable for this gift
Like there is nothing else.
So awaken from paralysis
And live the life you should,
Of peace, harmony and compassion
If you only could,
Just awaken from that dream state
That’s holding you in place,
Spring forth from this quiet place
Spring forth with total grace
And declare your awakening
Conscious now once more,
And ready to fight the good fight
Against corruption, greed and war.
