Sleepless Nights

So tired Ready to hit the sack I lay there restless Legs twitching, Arms moving in mid-air A sudden jolt and I'm completely awake There is no sound in our house, No lights on Only the sound of moving traffic on state route 66 So why can't I sleep?

I suffer from insomnia if I worry about something. Sometimes, avoidance of the thoughts of precarious events is not possible.

I had a similar feeling last night after being on vacation for 5 days. I was exhausted enough, but not enough to stay sound asleep? I'm just weird. lol Great piece, Karen! :)
