SLEEPING WITH THE FAN ON ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
In Texas, where summers are more than hot, Sleeping with a fan turned on is a must-have spot. With a whirl and a breeze, It brings sweet, cool ease, While we snooze in a sweat-soaked, warm cot! We sleep while it spins with a roar, As sweat drips and puddles the floor. With a chuckle, we say, "Goodnight, heat of the day! Tomorrow, we'll battle once more!" So if you should visit the Lone Star State, Know the heat is an oppressive weight Just find a big fan, Join the cool Texan clan, And together we’ll laugh at our fate!

Loved this! :-D It's a brilliant idea, but wouldn't such a big fan blow all the covers away? I can't wait for winter...

You're probably right...that huge fan would blow the covers away....I'm not much of a winter person, but the Texas heat is awful this year....so fall would be nice, hugs, Sara

The east, a sweltering breath, thick with moisture's embrace. The heavy air wraps around me, a cloak of discomfort, making each breath a laborious task. We are met with the sweltering heat, a relentless blaze that leaves one feeling quite spent. A most amusing tale indeed. Joyful

thanks for dropping by, Sotto. Sorry to hear that you folks in the east are also dealing with intense heat...you're right, it's a cloak of discomfort making for difficult breathing. Today we actually had clouds in the sky and slight breeze--a sign perhaps that summer's unrelenting heat will soon pass? Thanks for finding my poem amusing. Wishing you a cool evening, Sara

glad to see you're a Texas fan...that means you're okay in my book :-) I was a teacher for 25 years...a lot changed in classrooms during that time. After one of my students stabbed another classmate right in front of me, I immediately resigned. Enough was enough. Thanks for visiting and sharing, Sar a

The fan on high can cool, sometimes still hot, but with a little chill, the fan makes me cold…sheets on…sheets off…oh sheet! LOL! Love the pic!

Hot in Phoenix also, but far less humid. Humidity is what you uncomfortable. We only get high temperature...which just makes you dead:) Very funny read. Delightful!

thanks for visiting, Joe. We lived in El Paso for about 20 years, and the temps, etc., were much like Phoenix--hot but no humidity...easier to tolerate...well except for all the dust :-) Glad you found my poem funny and delightful...wishing you a pleasant evening. PS My inlaws live in Phoenix area, Peoria I think...
