Sleeping, Waking, Living In Your Arms
I wake to trill of colored leaves
The fall of last night's dreams,
An onshore breeze whose movements
Please and cool my restless schemes.
With one hand cradling your head
My other hand is roaming free
I float in evening's meadow song,
Am tide moved by the morning's sea.
There's freedom now in love's embrace
That I have never known before,
Not faulting other lovers though,
Just in your arms I've grown much more.
If happiness can't satisfy,
Can vanity dream love's mature?
But I am where I want to be,
Just this is all I know for sure!
