Bruce Adams Poet Quatrain

Sleep Well

Roommate heard through his bedroom wall 
     voice of a stranger in my room last night
     A strangers voice, definitely not me
     I was sleeping !  Caused me some fright.

     Concerned, not knowing who
     What psycho person would creep 
     into my room while sleeping and talk ?
     Roommate's mind starting to seep ?

     What could I do? Keep my dog close
     Lock windows and doors, no choice !
     Dream weaver came and I awoke
     My own loud alien, deep voice !

      Ancient language, voice not my own
      A great leader's confident command.
      A previous life, long ago
      Glimpse of eternity's endless sand 

      A profound experience
      While talking in my sleep
      Many life's lessons to learn 
      That stays in our deep
