Sleep Baby Sleep
Sleep Baby Sleep
Sleep baby sleep
In my arms one more time
No more shall you weep,
Moan nor whine.
Now you shall know
The foolishness once again
of being known and understood
by a being other than yourself.
In this one moment
Of finding yourself in other,
Your walls built to hold
Your well-preserved tiny-self
Come crumbling down.
There are no rules here.
Go with the flow,
Permit to be held, be bounced,
Warmed in the perspiration of other.
Close your sunny eyes,
Hold your feverish breath.
Feel the coupling.
