Sleep

It is a gift to close your eyes and sleep To enjoy the healing balm of slumber Slowly drifting away, lost in the deep With no past or present to encumber While dreaming winter dreams without number Sleep's nothingness a special kind of bliss From dusk to dawn the sweetest fairy kiss Barbara Gorelick Rhyme Royal contest by Dr Ram

A marvelous verse that not only reads and flows well, but clearly describes sleep and what it means to you and can be for all. Lovely writing! Michael

I am 53 years old and have been able to sleep all night for the past one month of my life. I had my sinuses operated on and for the fist time in my life, I can breathe all night long. I know what this poem is about. Tony
