Sledding Snowman

Sledding snowman twirling the snow so high
Flecks fly up in the air, nearly reaching the sky
Winter wizened wonders willing a western wind
Frozen lake front gives snowman the urge to begin.

On a large sledding hill, he does loops and twirls
The children watching are amazed at his swirls
If I catch him, he’ll be in my hot chocolate says one.
Asks another, “How on earth can that be any fun?”

Lovely poem, Caren. Hope you are blessed to have snow; but also be safe and warm. Enjoy your holidays, Michelle:-)

I loved this little poem and the images it created as I read. So funny, so cute :) It reminded of me of a children's book about snowmen who become alive at night and do funny things when people are asleep. It's titled, Snowmen At Night by Buechner .
