Slapped Down

This is actually a Shadorma. I wrote it in response to a review of the anthology that was done for research of the brain disorder that my son has. The review was a personal attack on me. Writing this, helped me get past it.

She slapped me
slumping sliding dumps
cascading
I'm held down
I feel like I cannot breathe
gone into hiding.

they have tried, and they have failed....simply because I refuse their free ticket to hell....they tempt me for revenge, but I remain true to myself....because over the years, it has provided great wealth....not with money nor material things....but with the Love only the heart sings....stay strong my sister....;)

Wilfred, it brought me down. UGH. And I did think about quitting. But I can't. :-) Thank you, my friend.

I have a new poem called Guess Who. ( Check it out) LOL, the first person, to comment my poem guessed right away. Anyways, ROBYN, I challenge you to write a poem, about a famous person or TV show. You can't give the answer in your poem. Title your poem Guess Who? :) LINDA

Hi Robyn, All I can say is, bite back or slap her out of the way, and admire what others have to say. I do hope you are feeling better now. Love LINDA

Haha, I hear you, Linda. I felt like it. I am happy to have better reviews. Reviews that speak to the writing and not my character. Grrr, she attacked my whole being. I do feel better. I'm writing again. Trying to come up with an entry for SKAT's contest. The sea. I was born and grew up in the Keys. So I can speak to oceans. :-) Love you, friend.

Hi Robyn, I wish I could shake that woman into sense. It makes me sad, to read this. Her hands, eyes, her mind did not deserve to read the anthology done for research towards your son's brain disorder. I hope you will be okay, writing is good for the soul.... Sending HUGS... SKAT

Shadorma - I will have to look that up. Don't stay hiding - not a good idea - at lease that is what I think. Peace & Love Matthew Anish
