Slam/Free Verse/For Pd

Talking 'bout surgery
Making my skin crawl
muscle spasms, pain and more pain
Who's talking 'bout surgery?

Read all you can and make the right choice
Believe me it gets worse before it gets better
Talking 'bout surgery
Muscle spasms, stiff neck and pain

The surgeon is smiling all the way to the bank
I'm crying and wishing I was dying
Looks like I have been in a street fight
Talking 'bout surgery!

Wake vomiting and bruises --where?
How did that?? Happen?
I.V. line beeped all night
How's a patient to get some sleep?
Talking 'bout surgery!!

I would like to thank everone for their prayers and well wishes on my neck surgery, I am getting alittle stronger every day!! Praise Jesus!!

Linda-Marie Sweetheart July 20, 2010 at 6:52 PM Great write and great news to know u feel a little stronger.. preparing for complete recovery.. just put on some lipstick and perfume and u will feel lots better my friend.. the I.V. will do its job and u just keep thinking in three months from now I won't remember this.. I used to do it with my gall bladder surgery that went haywire and was hospitalized for three weeks.. and my sons were all small..yikes..my poor MOM.. luv..
