Skys Stars

I remember sky, as a child; back then, a billion stars, square-danced overhead; do-see-do’ing round while I and my friends lay outside, watching them, watch us. Clearly, they don’t find us very entertaining; they never stopped to, gossip or laugh at us. Now-a-days, they only sit shivering in fear, as so many of them have disappeared; they are certain they’ll disappear too.

Yes, between the clouds and the pollution; well, I have to drive to a relatives in the country or a local park with my telescope for serious viewing. Skies did seem clearer when I was a kid. Thanks.
