Skipping

Skipping.......

  Moments of joy.
  Best done by little feet.
  Tired hearts remember.

This reminds me of a Stevenson Poem entitled "for Mother". The memories and joy relived, hearing the little feet, the skipping, such pleasure. Perfect write. Michael

Those are some very true words - The other day I picked my daughter up from school and she was playing hop scotch - I injured myself at work a couple of years ago and I've lost 40% of the usage in my my right leg due to nerve damage in my back - Well I went to hop scotch with her and when it came time to hop on my right leg it collapsed on me and I fell in-front of her and all her 6 year old friends - Boy my heart felt real tired at that moment - Embarrassed my little girl - Broke my heart

We must always keep the child within us alive. If our bodies can't, or won't, you are right, then our hearts must. Awesome little write. love, Shar

Love this little memory! Wonder why adults don't skip?? Wouldn't that be a sight to see going down the sidewalk??! (smile!) ~ Carrie
