Six-Word Couplet Series Encore

Comfortable Walking Shoes
Tattered, dusty soles
Complete with holes

Brisk Weather
Summer heat adjourns
Autumn wind churns

Beware Flying Objects
Acorn hits head
(Better than lead!)

Washed Out Trail
Moist air foggy
Makes ground soggy

Watch Your Step
Trip on stump
Foot sports lump

Evening Falls
Better hustle home
Lose map? Roam

Dinner Bell Rings
Follow that sound
Find home ground

These great couplets are going to take a hike ride to the top of the winner's list where they belong. Super! ~ Gershon

I would gladly take a hike with you, Carolyn...despite everything you sure know how to find the way back home:) Time for me to work on some couplets, now before the contest fills up! Hugs // paul

Love them all, tall and small; Had been married; Child she carried; Will not fall, And did appall; In need dire; Joined the choir; With God perch; Went to church; And better yet, Never forget. Haille also has the South Carolina State symbol in her necklace.

I had the spelling wrong - it's Haley. She says she will campaign for Pres. Trump in 2020, but that could change. And I enjoyed your couplets too! Thanks for the visit, James!

Thank you, WW. Some of my friends are marveling at how quickly our graduating class is dying off now. I think Marianne's spirit has been offering comfort to all who mourn her.

Thanks, Hon. After my illness it was more than a month before I could write anything again. These couplets were easy, but I'm still mourning Marianne's death and it's very difficult for me to write anything meaningful.
