A blossoming friendship, uncertain in nature
Making plans, discussing our lives
I never would have believed it then...
Six years ago, we planned a trip
New adventures, new experiences
Making memories, having the best time
I never would have believed it then...
Six years ago, we shared our secrets
Our bond was forming, fondness growing
Making friendships, expanding our circle
I never would have believed it then...
Six years ago, we grew closer yet
I noticed your fears, your insecurities
Making excuses, ignoring the warning signs
I never would have believed it then...
Six years ago, seems so long ago now
Looking at your photos, thinking about our past
Making poetry, hoping to honor your name
I never would have believed it then...
I still struggle to believe it now
