Six Months of Heartache

Today is a reminder of six months of heartache,
Loss and an empty nursery room.
You were taken so young, a rosebud yet to bloom.
The 16th will always be a day of tears,
Losing a child, a parent's worst fear.

Without you I have to face each and everyday,
Yes, the love we shared hurts and have a shade of grey
Morning kisses I used to get in two's but now its only one.
Facing each day without you hurts, no laughter no fun.

But I will celebrate your life, though sad and broken,
I will praise God for the visit of my angel, an appreciation token
For smiles, laughter and unconditional love we shared
In a million words I can't describe, but you know how much I cared.

I feel very broken-hearted over your devastating loss!
