Six Little Letters

Everyone has heard,

a feared word by all.

Six little letters,

can change one's life in an instant.

It comes in many forms,

from mild to death.

Much pain-sadness-heart ache does it bring,

no happiness here for all concerned.

From skin on the outside,

to breast-lung and more on the inside.

This six little lettered word,

will it have it's way.

In all the decades that have passed,

this little monster is still on the loose.

You ask what monster could cause all of this,

six little letters "Cancer."

What a sad write written so creatively, it is one of the saddest diseases that has ever afflicted mankind, and what makes it worse, is that more often than not, poeple suffer with its consequences and then die, I can't even use the word but I applaud you for writing about such a vicious illness which gobbles and is never full! Hugs and blessings, Jennifer.
