Sitting Here This Morning

Sitting here this morning Sitting here this morning, In the conservatory Here I am all wrapped up Not feeling the cold , I have my heating on, And am grateful for what I have But the sad thing is Not every ones like me The out side world is so cold There's snow upon the ground The wind in blowing a gale How lucky I'm inside Sitting here I wonder while all comfy and warm What would life be like If I was not so lucky I look into the garden There's snow upon the ground I know that there are lots Sleeping in the cold Underneath a bridge some where In a door way if there lucky With out heating food or care How are they to survive With snow upon the ground No food or hot tea , I bet they wish They got a blanket In the cold and the wind I only wish this country Would sort them selves out And help these poor people And give them warmth and food There most likely waiting These people with out a roof For a food bank to open And a little warmth I hope and pray that some day That thing will change a lot And every one will be like me And have a roof and warmth Have food inside there bellies It's not a lot to ask Before they die from the cold And become just a number No matter how we try to help these poor people still go hungry The main Ones that can do good Is this government, To build more houses for the ones That have no roof or food, So no one will have to sleep Underneath a bridge, So when you have a little while Just say a small pray One for being greatfull and the other for the poor Susan gage

Nice expression of universal reality ... painful patches of inexorable darkness ... very well written ...
