Sitting around the campfire
Laughter shining like the stars
Twinkling joyfully in a clear sky
Brilliant as the imagination
Soothing as music, wistful and sweet
Kindness falls soft on the night
Breathing prayers on a dark earth
Shimmering appreciation in poetry
Promising inspiration, grace and insight
A gaze as warm as the lemony morning sun
Thick lights flicker across the mountains
Remembering a childhood chasing fireflies
Peaceful hope crawls across the cool evening
Breaking apart dread with hues of moonlight
Drifting on winds of praise for the Creator
Dreams alive with faith born from above
Coloring the darkness in eternal love
Whispering softly on the twilight’s last word
Exciting the imagination with tranquility
Caressing hearts with embraces from dusk
Sitting around the campfire
Learning endless rhymes and reasons
For the intimacy that can be felt so purely
Beneath the starlit clouds along the sky
Telling us all the truths of nocturnal sights
