Sisyphean By Michelle Morris 13/03/2022 Sisyphean seems the task To gather consensus from mankind Scattered around the earth Peace flailing ever blindly Mere mortals are we But destruction is a talent We seem to gleefully achieve At any given moment Why can't we focus rather On our brilliant creativity Solve challenges together Create a utopian reality Around the globe we find Individuality and unity People striving to be better Make heaven on earth a surety But there always seems to be Darkness lurking somewhere Trying to lay waste to good Infecting the minds of the oligarchy Sisyphean it doesn't need to be Rather possible is peace for us Only if we stand together And in a higher power we trust © Michelle Morris, 2022
