Listen to poem:
high atop a hill
it stood there
a bastion of memories
fortress tired and disheveled
standing in solemn silence
keeper of our secrets
complicit our love
not meant to be
doomed from the start
one day the verdict handed down
guilty by association
imploded and in a blink
there it was gone
all but the memories
