Sinking Feeling

I could never tell, If she was a dream or a nightmare, She was the deepest well, Where wishes came with a burden to bear. I keep fighting for a reason, Painting over the cracks in her stories, It's the time of the season, For barely concealed lies. Will I ever break free? I wish to finally be me, A different man than her worker bee, Someone I can bear to see. I cannot deal anymore, I hope she reads the note, Taped to the apartment door, This relationship was our boat, But the holes in the hull you tore, Made it impossible to even float.
