My knees crack and creak
like an old barn door
And I can't just take a seat
anyplace, anymore.
I can no longer get up if
I try to sit on the floor.
My hearing is pretty good,
but my vision is poor.
I am starting to hunch at
my shoulders and back,
And Doc says I must stop
straining my sacroiliac.
This old body needs naps,
with the energy I lack.
My ankles are shaky with my
balance out of whack.
My feet are too small, and
I've got a fungus on my toe.
Nothing seems to help cure it,
as it continues to grow.
My hair falls out by the handfuls,
it's beginning to show.
My efforts seem useless, so
I'm just going let it all go!
