Singing Tandem

Projecting himself as concert prince My special child, full of confidence Serenades by his tunes’ preference Enthralling my heart he does convince. Using his left hand in mic*’s absence He belts out with gracious persistence Then prodding me by his insistence I join him for a duet license. While we clap midst rhythmic rebounds Our voices blend in harmony rounds Through action songs of melodious sounds Expressing that gratitude abounds. Singing with my son is great blessing Blissful partnership of sweet bonding Therapeutic as stress-relieving Oh, wondrous way of joyous praising**.
(*abbreviation for microphone) ** Ezra 3:11 And they sang together by course in praising and giving thanks unto the LORD; because he is good, for his mercy endureth for ever... December 27, 2019 3rd place, "STRAND any form any theme" Poetry Contest Sponsored by Brian Strand; judged on 1/18/2020.
