Sing To Me

You have a living song in you that no one else can sing like you. Sing to me a song that directs and drives me to the finish line. Sing me a song that challenges and inspires me to achieve. Sing me a song of clarity that instills awareness in me. Let that song reverberate and saturate my entire being. Let it take out the 'quit' and renew the 'fight' in me. I have heard such a song that dares to push me over the top. "Slip Slidin Away" by Simon and Garfunkel encouraged and lifted me. They spoke of a woman who discovered the meaning of a good day. Let it be clear that a good day was not one that brought no pain. In the aforementioned song, these words were used to describe her life: "She said a good day Ain't got no rain She said a bad day's when I lie in bed And think of things that might have been". God only knows what lies ahead, but He has instilled a clue inside of us. The clue is like a glue that will not let us go until the soul releases the song. The song within is the purpose for which God gave us birth and expects us to sing our song, to live out our purpose. The sound of a song like that can remind one that we are quickly approaching our destination. The destination awaits, but we must not wait, delay, or quit before our legacy is accomplished. 122819PoSoupContest, Sing It, Nina Parmenter
