Sing Me To Sleep

Dark days.
Darker nights.
In my world there is no light.

No safety, no pleasure.
No smiles, no love.
Nothing is right.

There is no one to sing me to sleep.
No one to tuck me in.
No one to kiss my lips, or even hold my hand.

Maybe the darkness wouldn't be so bad. If only some one else was here.
Some one else in this endless darkness.
Maybe they could even dry my tears.
