Sing a Hymn
God is my very best friend
He gives me grace to believe
In the One who does amend
All my sins, all that will deceive
God is the One I always turn to
When I’m so uncertain, afraid
He leads me all the way through
The worries, the mistakes I made
God is the healer of my heart
He answers my needs and wants
He knew my hopes from the start
And helps me cross over haunts
God is the giver of all my dreams
Answering prayers for everything
He whispers me to higher esteems
With gentle words from the King
God is the whisper of air I breathe
Sending me the wonder of true peace
Joy, hope and love he does bequeath
Reassuring me His love will never cease
God is the wisdom found in scripture
Answering most tenderly with revelations
He signs His name in a beautiful picture
Of all the earth knows from its foundations
God is the joy that lives deep in my soul
Whispering happiness wherever He goes
Sharing a love with me that is so whole
That nothing on earth could possibly dispose
God is the one I yearn to please the most
With all that I do, I hope to glorify Him
Thanks to Him I have the spirit of the Holy Ghost
The one who causes me to sing a hymn
