Simply Simple

Straight from the heart, no fancy words Don't know any anyway Simply simple that's how I write poetry Can't write it any other way I deeply admire those poets among us Using creative and flowing verse Talents that far exceed my humble efforts With me, humour comes first Oh I sometimes write about love and stuff It pales beside others I read Just to write those flowery sweet lines But the sillies seem to intercede Oh well I've come to accept who I am What ya see is what ya get Simply simple that's how I write poetry A sweet and cozy tete-a-tete!

Such a delightful poem, Jack! Sincerely. What we see is what we get, right? There's truly value in simplicity. Never doubt that. I try not to compare my voice and my style with others, especially those whom I admire. But I am the poet/writer I am today...and I'm okay with that. Oh, I do like the word tete-a-tete. I don't see that used very often anymore. Enjoy your evenings, Sara
