Simple Treasures

Is it easier to forgive –
or to ask to be forgiven?
Should we forever yearn for more,
or be content with what we’re given?
Some are blind, refuse to see,
as they ride the river high.
The finer things in life are free,
like stars across the sky.
So stop and feel the blessed rain,
and smell the roses near…
Then watch a raindrop kiss a flame
…and quickly disappear.
