Simple Talk

Dedicated to my Granddaughter Heather Ashley Curtis-Kramer Simple Talk I wonder if we really knew Time would pass and she'd grow up As days would dwindle down to few To sit and talk and drink and sup I miss her sitting on my lap Just four years old and holding tight A little lump of wisdom though So innocent and often right They say to youths, seek out the wise To get direction, on how to walk But, I have found, when confused I'd sit with her for simple talk I miss those days, those precious few My counsel and consoling rock To once more see, through her eyes And find my way through simple talk
