Simple Comforts
Toast with Vegemite
A latte or cup of tea
A good program on the television
These things comfort me
My comfy bed when weary
Being by the sea
A heartfelt cuddle
These things comfort me
The joy of a pet
Penning a poem or three
Listening to music
These things comfort me
The flickering of a fire flame
Nature and the country
Listening to the rain
Are just some of the simple things
That comfort me ……
