Silver Poem
White and black sounds all around
In snow and frost your silver poem
Night and day the snowfall goes on
Toffee from Santa and the baby in Bethlehem
Extinct almost is our dear sun
Rivers with ice crystals mystically run
Stories of colors in the maple leaves
Every shade of red chocolate and brown
Animated nests beneath the silent eaves
Sweets and plum cakes in the city downtown
On the leafless branches a faint red glow
Not far is spring in the melting snow
