Silently Invisible
Her face is a master at not reacting
No one notices. She is older, you see.
Quiet and unassuming
Invisible now, without knowing how she got here.
Inside she feels nineteen, fifty years ago for her.
The others do not notice her now.
No one is shushing anyone; their secrets are revealed.
She does not out them or alarm them or alert them.
Her imagination is screaming with glee.
They are so totally entertaining!
No one realizes she is in the lunchroom.
They have no idea she is writing it all up.
They are all fodder for her poems, they are material.
Her face gives nothing away. They do not have any idea.
Until her book comes out.
