Silent Suffering

if i had kept on
if i had lived on
if i had kept on
would you have stayed?
the part of you that i felt
inside this cold heart
is withering
dying
and i am silently suffering
from these wounds you left in me
the scars here and there
these cuts and bruises
bleed and burn
and the antidote for my sorrow
is long gone
