Silent Psalms - 1
Psalm 28:7 The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in him, and I am helped: therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth; and with my song will I praise him.
In the silence
Breath of hope
Whisper of faith
Mystery of grace
Dances through the soul
In hues of amber, crimson and gold
Wrapping the heart in warmth
From the light that rises across the sea
When there are thoughts filling the mind
With Jesus, God’s precious Son
In the stillness
Sighing with dreams
Murmuring inspiration
Making way for belief
Swirls freely, with praise
In moments of humility, modesty
Chasing away the darkness
With reflections of starlight
Capturing the heart’s promises
With rays of truth and consolation
Discovered in the knowledge that
Jesus is the light of the world
In the quiet
Panting psalms and poems
Praises of the One who
Lives to teach us the truth
Assure us of our own worth
Remind us that we can love
Beyond the pain and hurt
Past the grief, worry and fear
Through the most horrible nightmare
Into the heart of the moment
When we look joy in the eyes
And know – God is always in control
Of our lives!
