A rhapsody of rock and roll rain, tango twisting winds, samba snow flakes, step, skip, spin and swing. So the subdued sun remains solemnly shy as its orchestra of rays fail to compose. Recalling vivid verdant visions, a promenade of naked trees tremble, serenading melancholic melodies. On a bitter branch a nightingale sits in silence.

My heart sank when I saw the word rhapsody, thinking you had entered Constance's contest Silent. No one has a chance against you. I love that song too.

Non-nidulating Narrowdale Noon Nightingale needs some birdy-num-num nectar. Well I like a bitter alliteration too. Beautiful poem....bittersweet even, sharp and dry as 70% Dark Cacao Chocolate.Maybe Nightingale needs some honey.

So hard to sing and to be happy when the clouds are gray and the sun doesn't shine ... They say the weather affects our mood and I think you've expressed that beautifully in this poem... Very nice work!
