Silent Night

Behind careless clouds full moon is wandering while shiny stars are shy. Night stumbles in sharp silence and I keenly wait for sun. May 27, 2016. syllable count of 5-7-5-7-7 One New or Old Tanka - Poetry Contest Sponsored by: Rick Parise Tanka edited on August 3, 2016.

well this was a bonus poem that sneaked its way onto the winners' list, but it is very lovely; i just questioned the use of past tense, as usually a tanka is written in present tense, but the wording is beautiful - congrats!

I really like your traditional tanka, one of my favorites I have read for this contest.
