Silent Night

That silent night a star arose
Shining from on high
Is it a sign, do you suppose?
Why is it in the sky?
The shepherds wondered at the sight
And watched in awe above
When angels showed in shining light
Telling of the Father’s love
They were told to follow where it led
To where the Savior had been born
Rejoicing through the hills they sped
To Bethlehem that frosty morn
There lay the child the Blessed One
Resting in a manger on the hay
Christ the Lord, God’s precious Son
Born to save mankind that day
