Silent longing

In the quiet of night, under stars above,
I wish you could say, "I love you," my love.
With whispers of wind, 'neath the soft moonlight,
I long for those words to make everything right.

In moments of doubt, when shadows draw near,
I yearn for your voice to dispel all fear.
With each beat of my heart, with every sigh,
I ache for your love, I can't deny.

But in the depths of this longing, I'll stay,
Holding onto hope, come what may.
For in dreams, you confess what you can't say,
And in those brief moments, love finds its way.

So I'll wait with patience, in silence so deep,
Hoping one day, your love I will reap.
For in the echo of those three words so true,
Lies everything I wish for. just you.
