Silent Epistles

My heart is an aching oasis, unveiling unsent epistles~ enveloped in apologies and memoirs of the past. Yet, I seek the moon’s verses, erased by searing tears, dragging clouds of doubt with silver shadows cast. But perhaps these metaphors of regret weigh too heavy, and loving in sea-swept silence, is my destined retreat.

Wow a fantastic poem. I like seeing you pare down your poems to this itty bitty style. It keeps it succinct yet still so beautiful. Congrats on a well deserved win.

Beautiful sort of meditation. Silence is golden, oneness with God and his entire universe. We still ourselves, and omnipotence fills the void with overwhelming love and ever present glory. A write that really made me think. Well done.

Dear Empress, I came onboard to explore your poetic ink and saw the internal conflict between the need to communicate one's feelings and the fear or reluctance to do so. Yes, like you, I feel I should communicate and then I think I should just resign myself to silence. Sometimes it is good to do one over the other but not always obvious. You truly brought this out so well and I empathize with you. Empress, I am sending hugs and light your way! - Blessings, My Dear Friend, Daniel

I enjoy this poem. The withdrawal to silence seems to answer the pain of life. I've been there too.

beware the edges of the "sea-swept silence" for we can retreat but never retrace. So Ink, I have been siting here for 15 minutes allowing this wonderful poem to unveil itself.

Dearest Inky, you write with the brilliance of silver in moonlight - "unsent epistles," "moon's verses," "aching oasis." You have such a wonderful talent for creating thematic metaphoric imagery. It is awesome and as you continue to write it just gets better and better. I always look forward to being inspired by your work. Sending you blessings, dear friend! Samzy~

so there is more than one letter - epistles? Damn, after so many, maybe its just time to give up and stop trying as some people are just too stubborn to accept an apology, but then again people can forgive, but they dont seem to forget.. who was it that said, people may forget what you said, but they cant forget how you made them feel.. or was it the other way around? A lot of emotions in your six lines, I hope the judge values them for what they are..
