Silent Cry

The Silent Cry The silent cry - you might wonder - what is the silent cry? I tell you - It is the cry that no one can hear, but someone knows about it. A young girl got pregnant and didn't want the baby. She decided to have an abortion. As she went to the clinic, she was thinking, how that baby would just be in the way. The boyfriend didn't want nothing to do with her, or the baby. She thought it was the best thing to do. As she was being prepared for the abortion, the baby inside wondered - what was going on? He didn't feel love or warmth anymore. As they put the instruments inside the young mother, the baby felt a cold sharp pain. He gave one last cry as they tore him apart from his mother. It was the last silent cry that no one heard, but one person knew about it. That little baby was already forming and no one gave him a chance to live...
09/08/2014 By Lucilla M. Carrillo Note: This is not to offend anyone, but babies have a right to live. I don't like it that it's always the girl, or the woman that gets blamed for these things. This is not right. It takes two to make a baby. To me they are both equally responsible. Pray for the little ones that never had a chance to live...

Abortion is simply euphemism for murder and it is just morally inexcusable whether Catholic or Protestant, Republican or Democrat, Liberal or Conservative......... I love the line: That little baby was already forming and no one gave him a chance to live.

I agree with you, Lucilla, although I am not on the side of catholics who ask to forbid the abortion. To have sons is a responsible act. You could read my poem "blooming" to realize as I feel

A heart gripping poem Lucilla, there is virtue in your viewpoint. I agree with you, that life should not be denied under these circumstances, true tragedies that cry for moral support. I can't imagine how painful, traumatic it is for a woman to endure the truths of this decision. I believe our culture should promote life, communities should be more involved in loving their neighbors. J.A.B.

Jerry; Thanks for reading this poem. It is not about blaming anyone. It is about being responsible. I our parents had thought about abortion - we would not be here today.

Thanks for reading this poem. I also lost two babies. The doctor said that I would not be able to carry them full term. I still pray for them.

Lucilla. I am hoping that these "souls" unborn will go into the wombs of other mothers who want them. It's just my way of looking at it. Sure hope I am right about it. The soul lives on and how do we know if that baby, not yet really born, is not given another chance? You are such a goodly person!

Thank you for reading. I never thought of it that way, but it can happen. At least they can have a chance to live.

Dearest Lucy, this went right to my heart and made me feel the agony, the pain and finally the death of the unborn! Your writing is both dynamic and beautiful! Happy to see you writing!

Thank you so much. I am happy that you read this poem. I think that people should be aware of what can happen. In these things the mother can also lose her life. if not she suffers the pain later.

30 years ago mum was a nurse worked in a hospital where abortions were performed - one fetus cried after it had been removed - she told me about it as she found it so distressing - it has stayed with me ever since :-) hugs Jan xx
