SILENCE SPEAKS
The chair stands still, but it speaks
It’s waiting to be sat on
The lock is rusty and left hanging
It’s waiting to be opened
Secrets untold but there’s more
Because it’s better off unknown
It’s already been said, over a million times
Every word and every moment repeated over again
It wasn’t the first time a chair stood still
Or the first time a lock was left hanging
There’s nothing I want to say
To someone who never asks if I do
To someone who can never understand my point of view
Why speak when there’s no one to listen
Why stay when there’s nothing to say
‘’Why are you so quiet?’’ they ask
