Silence In the Room

So much time spent together How did we grow so far apart The true love we once lived Has faded into dark Dreams we shared together The perfect family You did what you do And I went chasing crazy dreams Girl I know you see it And I know you feel it too The love we thought would last forever What are we supposed to do We’re like strangers in the darkness It’s so hard – but damn it’s true It’s so easy to see By the silence in the room By the silence in the room I would never blame all you For the words you chose to use As bad as they may seem I threw them all back at you The outside looks so special There’s a storm blowing in Do we keep this whole thing going Scared the way this all might end Girl I know you see it And I know you feel it too The love we thought would last forever What are we supposed to do We’re like strangers in the darkness It’s so hard – but damn it’s true It’s so easy to see By the silence in the room By the silence in the room [Bridge] Girl I know you see it And I know you feel it too The love we thought would last forever What are we supposed to do We’re like strangers in the darkness It’s so hard – but damn it’s true It’s so easy to see By the silence in the room

Your piece shows well the lack of real commitment of today's married couples. It is so easy to walk out instead of working out a plan based on real communication and input from both sides. You chose a great repeat stanza, well-done.
