So much time spent together
How did we grow so far apart
The true love we once lived
Has faded into dark

Dreams we shared together
The perfect family
You did what you do
And I went chasing crazy dreams

It’s so hard – but damn it’s true

As bad as they may seem

The outside looks so special
There’s a storm blowing in
Do we keep this whole thing going
Scared the way this all might end

Reason A. Poteet February 24, 2018 at 3:30 PM Your piece shows well the lack of real commitment of today's married couples. It is so easy to walk out instead of working out a plan based on real communication and input from both sides. You chose a great repeat stanza, well-done.
